This year’s Hesburgh Lecture theme is “The Role of Science in Making Law and Policy: The Case of Public Bioethics”.
Please join our club in welcoming O. Carter Snead, J.D. Professor Snead is one of the world’s leading experts on public bioethics (the governance of science, medicine, and biotechnology in the name of ethical goods). He was General Counsel to President Bush’s Council of Bioethics; testifies regularly as an expert before federal courts, Congress, and state legislatures; and advises Pope Francis on bio-ethical issues as a member of the Political Academy for Life.
The lecture will take place in a private room at Luxbar, from 6:00pm-8:00pm. There will be Hors D’oeuvres included with registration.
