The Notre Dame Club of Chicago Veterans Initiative Committee (VIC) is excited to invite Veterans, Notre Dame and DePaul alumni, and the general public to attend a Mass at noon at St. Peter’s Church on November 11 – Veterans Day. Fr. Ed McKenzie, O.F.M. (Air Force veteran, a Chaplain VIC member and friar at St. Peter’s Church) will celebrate the Mass with Fr. Doug Smith, C.S.C (Navy Veteran, a Chaplain VIC member, and Director of Operations & Finance – Enrollment Division at the University of Notre Dame) as concelebrant. This Mass will be a way to recognize Veterans who have given so much to our country and to pray for the challenges our country faces at this time in its history. There is no better way to recognize the reason for the holiday and to bring together people who are eager to recognize Veterans and how to support them. Members of the Notre Dame Club of Chicago VIC will be available after Mass to explain the purpose of the VIC, and our mission to serve Veterans.
Following the Mass, the VIC will host a pre-game cash bar social event before the ND vs. DePaul Basketball Game. For information, please click here.
